What is a fantasy stock league?
If you’ve played fantasy football on ESPN or Yahoo, you already know how this works. Instead of drafting NFL players, you draft stocks from the S&P 500. Instead of yards and touchdowns, you score points off real stock market price moves. Same league format — head-to-head matchups, snake draft, trades, waivers, playoffs.
How it works
8, 10, or 12 teams, 12 rounds. The full S&P 500 is your player pool — Apple, Tesla, NVIDIA, every name you know. 60 seconds per pick.
9 starters and 3 bench. Your top stock goes in the CEO slot for a 2× multiplier; COO is 1.75×, CFO is 1.5×, CTO is 1.25×. Strategy is which stock to rank where.
8-week regular season, 3-week playoffs. Trades, waivers, FAAB bidding, and a championship for league bragging rights. No real money.

No. DHF is a fantasy game. You never connect a brokerage account, you never deposit money, and we never execute real trades. Picks are simulated and scoring is based on real market price moves.
Is it free to play?
Yes. Joining and creating leagues is free. There may be optional cosmetic upgrades or paid league entries in the future, but the core game is free.
How is scoring calculated?
Each stock's daily price move is multiplied by its position slot — CEO (2×), COO (1.75×), CFO (1.5×), CTO (1.25×), FLEX (1×). Your team score is the sum of your 9 starters' weighted moves. Bench stocks don't score unless swapped in.
How many people can be in a league?
8, 10, or 12 teams. Twelve is the standard. You set the size when creating the league.
How long is a season?
Eleven weeks total — eight weeks of regular-season head-to-head matchups followed by three weeks of single-elimination playoffs.
Which stocks can I draft?
The entire S&P 500. Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Tesla, Amazon, Google, Berkshire — every name in the index is available until someone in your league drafts it.
Can I trade or pick up stocks mid-season?
Yes. You can propose trades with other managers, drop stocks, and bid FAAB on free agents. The trade deadline is end of Week 6.
Is this like DraftKings, FanDuel, or PrizePicks?
More like ESPN or Yahoo fantasy football. Season-long leagues with friends, not daily fantasy. No real-money entry fees required.
